'CAD'

This photograph is of one of my pieces of work from my previous Computer Aided Design (CAD) course, undertaken at Chestnut Grove Academy (my old secondary school). The project was called 'Me, Myself and I', and for this piece I had to replace all the darker areas of my face with a collage I had created from photographs taken on a school trip to Brighton.  I then edited the image using Photoshop tools and created versions in several different colours - the green being my favourite. This image reflects my creative side and love for computer artwork, one reason I chose to take up 'Art/Design Graphic Communication' at college. I have fond memories of my CAD classes at Chestnut Grove because they were really relaxed and fun environments to work in which a lot of my good friends attended too- my CAD teacher was also pretty awesome, always encouraging and supportive. The class was never boring which was a real bonus and I took my specialist art student status at the academy seriously after having gone through a competitive process to secure one of only 30 places - that is how I actually got into the school!
