Work Experience

This is an image of the temporary staff card I was given when working at the Lambeth Living's IT Department as an IT assistant for one week's work experience in July 2014. At the time, I believed I wanted to have an office job when I was older, however I soon changed my mind!  I also did a second week's work experience in the very well known book store, WH Smith.
The only reason I was able to work in Lambeth Living's IT office was because my mother works for Lambeth Council and therefore  able to secure a place for me.   I really wanted to experience what it would be like to work inside the IT world and to know what employees got up to on a daily basis. I remember having to wear a formal suit every day of the week which was a challenge as I only had so many different coloured shirts! Another key thing I remember form my work experience placement is the potent smell of coffee every time I entered the office room. It was just like the stereotypical representation of the office environment as presented  in the media - boring - dull and caffeine crazy! It is fair to say that I did not enjot my experience there much.
